International Women's Day Activity

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It was a successful interactive session at the American University of Nigeria with some of our interns and advocates for change, buttressing on how individuals, organizations and communities can rally round and accelerate action towards women's rights, women's empowerment and gender equality. At Quiet Shelter Empowerment Foundation, we believe that accelerating action for women’s empowerment is about pushing everyone forward. Educating women is one of the most powerful ways to transform societies. Accelerating action is not just a slogan - it is a call to arms. It is a demand for urgency. Each of us has a part to play by supporting women at work, mentoring young girls and challenging unfair treatment whenever we see it. Happy International Women’s Day
